Harborside Express Train Rides

Saturdays, weather permitting

11am to 2:00pm, last ticket sold at 1:30

The "Harborside Express" is an open air caboose that travels 1 mile up Harborside Dr., then returns to the Galveston Railroad Museum. The train rides are approximately 15 minutes long. Boarding for the Harborside Express begins at 11:00 am, with the last train ride train ride ticket sold at 1:30 pm. The train is a standing ride without seats. Due to the caboose being open air, the rides will sometimes be closed during inclement weather.  Train crew takes a 30 minute lunch break in the noon hour.

Ticket to ride the Train: $5, ages 3+

Just in time for Father's Day, the Harborside Express is returning!

In addition to regular caboose rides, the Bonnie Brook, the museum's newest addition will make her debut.  Bring your favorite railfan!  See event page for details and restrictions.

The story of The Polar Express is being theatrically re-created so you and your family can be immersed in the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale. 

Set to the soundtrack of the motion picture, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a magical one-hour trip to meet Santa.
